Estephan, Ab
Ab's focus is in the area of personal injury law and ICBC claims. He grew up in Kelowna, having moved here with his family in 1967. After finishing high school on the West Side, and spending some time at Okanagan College (as it was then known), he went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree (in Physiology) from the University of Victoria. Having grown tired of waiting in line-ups for the ferry, Ab moved to UBC to obtain his law degree, before returning to Kelowna in 1990 to begin his legal career. As with several of his partners, Ab started his career at the firm.
Ab is a strong proponent of Doak Shirreff’s team approach to client representation. The firm routinely brings different areas of expertise to the table to address a client’s problem. Ab believes that this client-centered, team approach to the practice of law is Doak Shirreff’s strongest asset and one from which all our clients benefit.
That team approach is also brought to bear in Ab’s main area of practice, personal injury litigation. One of Doak Shirreff’s strengths is the depth of our litigation experience, and the extent to which we pool that experience to achieve the best results for our clients.
When not in the office, Kelowna lawyer Ab Estephan can be found “relaxing” with his two young (and energetic) daughters. Otherwise, he likely can’t be found at all, as he tries to stay in shape mountain-biking the remote valley trails.
