Shirreff, Grant
Grant is a senior partner at the firm. He has spent his legal career representing developers, businesses and lenders. In addition to general corporate and business formation in counselling, he has extensive experience in land development, commercial lending and partnership agreements.
Grant enjoys sorting through complex problems and issues and applying common sense wisdom to the issues, to solve those problems.
In addition to a busy practice, Grant is involved in the management of the firm, as a member of the management committee.
Grant was born and raised in Kelowna, and believes that this community is the best place to live. He is a past president of the Kelowna Golf and Country Club, and he continues his membership with the club, and his association with the club members.
Kelowna lawyer Grant Shirreff was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1970. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1966 and his Bachelor of Laws in 1969, from the University of British Columbia.
Grant practises in the following Areas of law:
Real Estate Law - including residential and commercial real estate transactions, real estate development, commercial leasing, strata property/condominium issues, and residential and commercial tenancy.
Lending and Secured Transactions – including mortgages, personal property security, general security agreements, escrow agreements, and assignment and assumption of debts.
Corporate/Commercial Law – including incorporations, partnership agreements, joint venture agreements, share transactions, asset purchases, tax deferred rollovers, amalgamations, corporate name reservations, and corporate director and governance issues.
Wills and Estate Planning and Estates – including providing advice in planning for your estate to your family and others through your will and trusts and other forms of transfer, planning for incapacity, and assisting with estate administration and obtaining probate.
His areas of concentration are corporate and business law, real estate development, real estate transactions (residential and commercial).
