Thorne, Jennifer E.
Jennifer is a long-time resident of Kelowna and recently joined the firm as a member of the litigation department. Her interests lie primarily in the areas of criminal defence, civil litigation, family law and immigration law.
Jennifer came to the firm as an articling student in 2007 and was called to the British Columbia bar in May, 2008. After graduating from Kelowna Secondary School in 1996, Jennifer started her post-secondary education at Okanagan University College in Kelowna. In 2004 she received a B.A. (Hons.) in Anthropology from the University of Calgary and in 2007, Jennifer received her Bachelor of Laws, with distinction, from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
While at Law School, Jennifer worked with Student Legal Services of Edmonton providing legal services in the areas of civil, criminal and family law to students and low-income individuals in the community. She served on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review for two years.
Outside of work, Jennifer can be found spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their dog, Phife. She enjoys traveling, dancing salsa, and entertaining friends.
