Keri is a civil litigator with an emphasis on Personal Injury Law and Employment Law. She also has an interest in Health Law, Elder Law and Class Action Litigation.

Prior to joining Doak Shirreff LLP, Keri practiced with Clark Wilson LLP, a large downtown Vancouver firm. Keri grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology, in 1997 and her Bachelor of Laws in 2000, both from the University of Saskatchewan. She was called to the Province of British Columbia Bar in 2001.

Keri has a wide range of civil litigation experience. She has appeared before the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia as well as many administrative tribunals. She has also provided group presentations on legal matters to various organizations.

Within her Personal Injury practice Keri has experience representing and advising clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice claims, work place injuries (WCB as well as third party liability), product liability (including prescription drug claims) and assaults. Keri has represented clients with varying levels of legal and medical complexity. She takes pride in providing each of her clients with practical legal advice, taking a personal and compassionate interest, and obtaining the best results possible.

In addition to acting for the injured, Keri also has experience acting for individual defendants as well as insurance companies. Acting for both sides has provided her with invaluable education and insight which enables her to provide the best advice for each and every client no matter which side they are on.

Within her Employment Law practice Keri has experience representing both employers and employees in constructive and wrongful dismissal actions, breach of restrictive covenant claims (non-solicitation, non-competition and confidentiality agreements), employment standards complaints, human rights complaints, and residential tenancy complaints. In addition Keri has experience preparing employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, employee policy manuals and various other employment related agreements.

When not working, Keri enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys volunteering, training and competing in martial arts, playing soccer, basketball, and both water and snow sports.
