Kate Snowsell

Partner

Kate started with our firm as a summer student in 2009. She now forms part of our solicitor team of lawyers, and has a particular passion for estate and incapacity planning. She offers a wide range of services to her clients including the preparation of wills and trusts, powers of attorney, representation agreements, charitable giving, succession planning, and estate administration. Kate’s relaxed yet professional style makes her easy to approach and she provides her clients with comprehensive, easy to understand advice to deal with their unique family, business, and personal needs. Kate’s practice also includes a focus on real estate law and business law.

I have an extensive network of professional advisors in the community and when necessary I work closely with them to ensure that my clients have a comprehensive estate plan tailored to their unique situation.

Estate planning can be both very technical and very personal; whether I am sitting down with a young couple just starting their family or a sophisticated business owner, I take the time to answer my clients’ questions and work with them to create a plan tailored to their situation. Ensuring that my clients understand their situations from a legal point of view and walk away feeling more at ease with the process is very fulfilling.

Outside of the office I spend the majority of my time with my husband chasing after our two very active young children. As a family, we spend a lot of time outdoors swimming, playing at the park, taking nature walks, and spending time with our two big dogs. I was born and raised in the Okanagan, and am thrilled to now be able to raise my own children here. When I have a few spare “adult” moments to myself I enjoy hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, and a glass of good red wine.
