Lawyer – Real Estate Solicitor (2+ Years’ Experience)

Doak Shirreff Lawyers LLP is looking for a solicitor with at least 2 years of experience to join our team in Kelowna.

This role is ideal for a lawyer who is confident managing residential real estate files independently and is eager to broaden their practice into corporate and / or estate planning work over time.
What You’ll Do
You will maintain a practice focused on residential real estate, with the opportunity to expand into corporate and estate planning matters while working alongside experienced senior solicitors.
You can expect a mix of independent file management and collaborative work with colleagues across the firm. Your work will include:
- independently managing residential real estate files from start to finish
- communicating clearly and professionally with clients throughout their transactions
- working closely with lawyers and support staff to keep files moving smoothly and efficiently
- assisting senior solicitors on more complex matters as part of ongoing mentorship and development
- building skills in corporate and / or estate planning matters as opportunities arise
- participating in networking and community engagement to support the firm’s growth and build professional relationships
- managing multiple priorities in a busy practice with responsiveness and professionalism
- contributing positively to the firm’s collegial and team-oriented culture
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who brings:
- 2+ years of experience practicing residential real estate law
- the ability to independently manage residential real estate files with confidence and attention to detail
- strong organizational and file management skills
- excellent client service and clear, professional communication
- an interest in expanding into corporate and / or estate planning work
- professionalism, courtesy, and reliability in all interactions
- initiative, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- a team-first mindset and willingness to collaborate with lawyers and staff
This role is primarily in-office, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

Salary ranges from $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience and year of call, plus a contractual bonus of 35% of collections exceeding 2.95x salary.
